Our Music Collaboration Project is an internal AP offer delivered by Esteem Valley Academy’s Music department in partnership with The Elementz Studio. The project allows students to gain a Rockschool (RSL) Level 1 & 2 qualification in the Creative Music Industry, alongside gaining valuable industry experience. This project has been running since January 2024.
The project runs once a week on Thursdays and caters to up to 10 students. Students attend from 9am – 2pm. The course is delivered from The Elementz Studio in Nottingham City Centre, giving students a unique opportunity to learn within a commercial studio while working alongside industry professionals.
In addition to the qualifications on offer, students are given the opportunity to experience a range of industry opportunities through the Elementz connections with the Nottingham music scene. Students have the opportunity to visit the Motorpoint Arena, Rock City, Theatre Royal and other music venues in the city to explore the variety of career opportunities available within the music industry, from performing and producing to lighting and sound engineering.
