Natasha Marley

Parent Governor

“I have had several roles and responsibilities over the years, from working in nurseries and running my own business and I particularly enjoyed my time as a Wedding Planner. I have gained a range of skills and experience in these roles but my greatest accomplishment is being a full-time mum to my three amazing children.

I joined Esteem Valley Academy as a governor after my son was referred to the school. I thought it would be beneficial to understand my son’s journey and I hope to support the many others that come out of the mainstream school system.”

Alexandra Murray

Vice Chair of Governors

“I’m Alex and I joined the Governing Board in Spring 2023. I decided to become a school governor because I wanted to do something worthwhile with my time, and contribute to the community. The role can be challenging and provides many development and learning opportunities, those things are not just for students! Re-engaging with the education system after leaving school….some years ago!…has been a learning curve, particularly working with an academy. It’s been interesting to understand the role of governors, and how we can have a positive impact on the lives of our young people, which is something I hope to continue participating in for a long while to come..”
