eVolve Curriculum – Vocational Learning at Esteem Valley Academy
At Esteem Valley Academy, we offer a wide range of vocational experiences and practical learning opportunities through our ‘eVolve’ curriculum. This provision is designed to develop essential skills, build confidence, and enhance employability, alongside supporting students’ personal development.

Key Stage 4 (Sawley Site)
Students can work towards recognised qualifications in a range of creative and vocational areas:

Kirk Hallam – Alternative Provision
We offer targeted, hands-on learning opportunities in a supportive environment:

- 1 day per week (Tuesdays)

Hair & Beauty
- 1 day per week (Wednesdays)
- Students work towards a VTCT Level 1 Certificate in an Introduction to the Hair & Beauty Sector
Coming Next Year:

EVA x Elementz Studios – Music Collaboration Project
- 1 day per week (Thursdays)
- Delivered in partnership with The Elementz Studios, Nottingham
This unique programme gives students the opportunity to:
- Work in a professional recording studio
- Gain a Rockschool (RSL) Level 1 & 2 qualification in the Creative Music Industry
- Access real-world industry experiences and connections
Key Stage 3 (Bennerley Site)
Students follow a personalised vocational pathway through AQA Unit Awards, designed to improve engagement and build confidence.
Course areas include:
- Animal Care
- Catering
There is a strong focus on developing transferable skills, including:
- Communication
- Teamwork
- Problem-solving
Looking Ahead
We are continuously developing our vocational offer to meet the needs and interests of our students.
- Catering will also be formally introduced to the KS4 curriculum at Sawley as part of our expanding provision.
